Children's Bible Recommendations
- At church we read stories from The Beginner's Bible. These are great for younger kids. Really short, simple stories with good pictures. It says ages 4-8 but I would say even younger kids can understand the stories and 7/8 year old may need something more advanced.
The Jesus Storybook Bible would be my second recommendation. The stories are longer, with more details, and geared towards a little older audience. I would recommend this for Pre-school age children and older.
This Week's Take Home Sheet
May 22nd– God’s
Promises
Memory Verse: “I will never leave you; never
will I forsake you.” – Hebrews 13:5
Lesson: Today we talked about how God makes us many promises. We learn these promises from the Bible, God’s word. For our craft today we made bookmarks. We encouraged the kids to go home and read their Bibles (or ask their parents to read to them) and use their bookmark.
Parents: We have started a Wellspring Children’s Ministry
Blog! Becca and myself will be using it
to update parents on upcoming events, policies and procedures, and other good
resources for parents.
