Welcome! Birth-Pre-K

Hello Parents and Volunteers!
Thanks for stopping by to see our blog.  My goal is to post at least once a week so stop back by periodically.  We will use this site to keep parents informed on upcoming events, Rooted policies and procedures, and other logistics.  We also want to use this site to help equip parents to be able to better disciple their children at home.  We will give book and website reviews, provide parent resources, and give examples of how to make your home centered around Christ.  If you ever have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at 816-7522-1855. (Marissa Purvis)

Upcoming Events:
Mommy & Me Play Group - (Birth-Pre-K) Join other moms for a time together to let the kids play and for moms to connect this Summer.  We will hang out twice a month on Friday mornings.  The first hang out will be Friday, May 27th at 10AM at the new YMCA park. (weather permitting) If you are interested in coming and/or being updated on future hang outs, please let Marissa Purvis know! (816-752-1855)

I will also post the "Take home sheet" from each week that we have sent home at church.  The idea behind these sheets is to help parents stay informed about what their child is learning each week and other some extension ideas of how parents can reinforce that week's lesson at home.  Here is the Take Home Sheet for May, Week 3.

May 1st– What’s His Name?

Memory Verse: “I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go.” – Genesis 28:15

Lesson:  Today in our story about Joseph, we learned that he was thrown in jail for something he didn’t do.  This was all part of God’s plan and Joseph met people in jail that would later be part of his story.  Even though everyone else had forgotten about Joseph, God did not forget him and he was with him.

Prayer- Pray this prayer with your child this week and remind them that God is always with them so they don’t need to worry.   Dear God- Thank you for never forgetting about me.  Help me to trust you when I feel left out, alone, or scared
